A great example of honesty and simplicity.

Honesty is the peace of heart.

Honesty has disappeared in our country. There are very few people who earn honestly. And live a life of peace.

Our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said about honesty:

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said that trustworthiness descended from heaven to the roots of the hearts of some people (ie it is in their nature) and when the Qur'an was revealed, they understood the meaning of the Qur'an and gained knowledge of the Sunnah. So both the Qur'an and the Hadith gave full force to this natural honesty.

High example of honesty and simplicity.

A woman bought potatoes from this man.

The man gave her a green chilies and coriander for free. He would check the potatoes as if he were doing an X-ray. It is against the economic interests of the shopkeeper to check every piece of vegetable and put it in the shopping bag. Any stain on the potato would be set aside.

He would put only the potatoes that were fine in the shopping bag. Another person bought tomatoes from him and he checked such tomatoes. The customer could not find the defect in the tomatoes and potatoes, but the vegetable seller would find even the slightest stain and shake it apart.

When the customers left, I asked, "Why don't you put your vegetable cart on the main road?"Why did you choose to put a vegetable cart on one side and in a deserted place? The man replied that there is a tax. And if I put it in front of a shop, I have to pay the rent. Since I sell vegetables honestly, people come to me on foot.

I just ask Allah Almighty for halal sustenance so that I can earn a living and feed my children honestly. 

The next question I asked was, do you have any other source of income? "I unload vegetables from the truck at the vegetable market in the morning," he said. That's where I get the money. I buy vegetables from them, sell them all day long and go home in the evening. In the evening I take home the vegetables. And the bad potatoes and other vegetables that are left. I take it home. And I clean them and cut the stains with a knife and throw them away. And then I give my wife and children to cook. Or if a poor person comes to ask, I will give him these vegetables for free. Then I asked the next question, do you live on this meager income? He replied, "Thank God." I eat by hand and my children also go to school. They eat at night on a full stomach. And never mind that they do not complain but in a short time they give thanks to Allah. And we all sleep peacefully. Then I began to examine her outfit and my eyes fell on her torn clothes which were patched. I asked if your clothes were torn. He replied, "What if it is cracked?" The clothes are clean. He said, "Sister, if you are not like us, then who will fulfill the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him)." I was a little shocked to hear this. And began to think that the servants of God are still in this world. It is because of such people that the whole world is established. I began to think that this patched cloth was much superior to ours. His children will one day become great human beings. Because the children of those who feed halal food also get a big place. I told this man that I was very impressed with you. God will surely make you a great man one day. If not, he will make you the father of a great man. Inshallah, I came to my house and told my children the whole story. Then about ten years later I saw the same man in a shopping plaza. So the same thing happened in my mind. I met this man and he recognized me and sat me in his chair and told me that my son wanted to start his own business after completing his education. We set up a small shop selling fruits and vegetables. Then Allah blessed our business so much that today we own our own store in this plaza. Seeing this, my faith in Allah Almighty and His mercy increased even more. And I prayed a lot for this man and he will come home. * Even today I often go to their store to buy vegetables and fruits. Which are better than ever.
